[b]Giorni senza frontiere[/b] – La marcia dei profughi verso l’Europa, senza precedenza nel dopo Guerra, per qualche giorno ha dissolto le frontiere e rivelato scene di grande solidarietà. La gente ha risposto con una spontanea generosità e anche i governi– trascinati da questa emergenza umana – hanno dato segni di sensibilità.
Il fiume umano di gente che sognano una vita lontana dalle violenze, guerre e miseria ha in questi giorni rivelato la fragilità delle frontiere, dell’ordine Occidentale e più di tutto hanno rivelato l’impatto dell’umanità sulle persone stesse.
Dunque oltre che sulla crisi ambientale, l’impatto dell’umanità, causata soprattutto dalla parte più’ ricca e potente di questa, si sta ora osservando anche sulla popolazione mondiale.
Lo scombussolamento di milioni di persone è avvenuto per la mancanza di rispetto delle regole e impegni presi dai governi per mediare alla tensione internazionale dopo la conflagrazione della seconda Guerra mondiale.
Mentre la globalizzazione continua a ridurre le frontiere per il mondo della finanza e del business, i popoli rimangano geograficamente, politicamente ed economicamente confinati in un ordine che in questi giorni si dimostra incapace di gestire la situazione.
Oggi i governi dell’Occidente cercano di mettersi d’accordo sulle quote di profughi da distribuire nel tentative di contenere la crisi. Qualche centinaio d’anni fa gli governi di allora si stavano bisticciando su come ridisegnare quel mondo, da dove oggi provengano parecchi degli profughi, per sfruttarlo.
[b]Days without borders[/b] – The march of refugees to Europe, without precedence in the post war period, for a few days dissolved borders and revealed scenes of great solidarity. The people responded with spontaneous generosity and even governments- dragged by this human disaster – showed signs of sensitivity.
The flow of people escaping violence, wars and misery has exposed the fragility of borders, of Western order and, most of all, exposed the impact of humanity on people themselves. Along with the human impact on the environmental, we are witnessing the human impact, caused mainly by the more ‘rich and powerful, on the populations of the world.
The disruption of millions of people is the result of a lack of respect for rules and commitments made by governments to mediate international tensions after the conflagration of World War II. As globalization continues to remove borders for the world of finance and business, people remain geographically, politically and economically confined in an order that, as recent events show, is unable to cope.
Today the governments of the West are trying to agree on the allocation of refugee quotas in an attempt to contain the crisis. A few hundred years ago, the governments of the time were squabbling over how to redesign the world, from where many of the refugees come, to exploit it.
