Dockworkers in Genoa have been at the forefront of resisting the genocide in Gaza, blocking arms shipments and supporting the Freedom Flotilla. Enhancing the interviews with port workers, students, activists and Freedom Flotilla participants Chris Hedges also interviews  Francesca Albanese, Great Thunberg, Yannis Varoufakis and others who were there to support the dockworkers.
As Chris Hedges says:  “With little hope of the genocide in Gaza subsiding, dock workers in major Italian port cities have organized strikes and large demonstrations to halt arms shipments to Israel. These actions are a direct response to the refusal of international institutions and governments around the world to confront the carnage. Though the genocide continues, the dockworkers’ industrial disruption offer us a model of resistance. Will the Italian way spread to the imperial core — and can it end the genocide?”

We will be joined by in conversation after the film by Michael Coleman who has supported, and participated in the actions of, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition since 2010.
In solidarity and behalf of FILEF Sydney
