ITALY/ FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER D’ALEMA: THE FILIPPO MAZZEI AWARD THE BRIDGE A CONCRETE EXAMPLE OF CULTURAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC POLITICS.
In a note, delivered to the press office of the Filippo Mazzei “The Bridge” award, Foreign Affairs Minister, Massimo D’Alema, remarks: “The award is a concrete example of cultural, social and economic politics having as an objective peace, solidarity and the strengthening of the co-operation among the People. We are proud of the success gained by our Italian-American fellow countrymen and our government action consists in a commitment to pursue the promoting politics of Italy’s image, culture and role in the world for a consolidation of those ties with the Italian Communities abroad which have contributed and are still contributing to the cultural and political dialogue.
This is a moment of uphill difficulties and some choices must be taken in a mutual way, in order to offer everyone a common space in which to revisit peaceful common living, ambitions, solidarity and success for the present and the future generations.
The Small Irpinian Town, Morroni di Bonito and the award can recall to the mind the so many bridges which have joined Lands and People”.
